Dear Students,
It is a matter of immense pleasure to be able to convey from the desk of the Principal, my vision of an ideal youth, which I believe will lead our nation to greater heights, the youth I see in you. Over a period of three decades I have observed that a mammoth change has taken place in the behavior and thinking of the youth and the society at large. The youth of yester years could relate to the glorious history and wonderful culture of our nation, which revolve around the pillars of the patriotism, morality, self control and determination. But the western winds have weathered the human values which were the soul of our cultural existence, leaving us spiritually bankrupt.#####
Today, due to cut throat competition and distractions most of our youth is bewildered, unbridled and aimless. It is moving towards momentary pleasures, materialistic existence and easy gains, which bring along with them a sea of despair, regret and disappointment. As a result youth has started taking shelter in a bottle of alcohol and puff of a cigarette. Since youth is the real strength of any nation, they must learn to fight and drive the darkness away. And there is no better way to fight a dark than a proper education which is adequately brewed in a base of morality, ethics and self determination.
Standing at the historical site D.G.C. carries a legacy of true Guru – Shishya culture and is an adequate soil for the youth of today. We the guardian of this soil hope to provide what the nation needs in its veins. This is an institution with all round excellence and covers all the aspects of right education. It religiously follows the mantra “Tamso Maa Jyotirgamya” meaning lead us from darkness towards light. D.G.C. is fulfilling this noble goal.
Dear students you have lot of potential and possibility to bring the past glory back by re-affirming your faith in Indian culture and values. We are the progeny of patriotic souls whose characters were woven with the colorful threads of moral human values. Try to become holy and righteous by word and deed. Follow three C’s in your life: Courage, Conviction and Commitment. Have faith in yourself. Stop ignoring and take notice of corrupt practices around you and do raise voice to curb and eradicate the social evils like female foeticide, alcoholism, drug addiction and smoking. Here, I recall the beautiful clarion call given to our youth by Swami Vivekananda, “Rise, Awake and Act till you achieve your goal.”
I wish you all good luck and bless you for a prosperous and bright future.
